A melodramatic performance of the Yiddish Theater classic, "Ikh Bin A Mame" (I Am A Mother), from the Off-Broadway hit, "On Second Avenue" (starring Broadway and film star, Mike Burstyn).  The song, made famous by the Yiddish Theater star, Jennie Goldstein, tells the painful story of a mother estranged from her child.

A moment of Jewish comedy from the English-Yiddish, Off-Broadway hit, "On Second Avenue," starring film and Broadway star, Mike Burstyn.
In this scene, a well-meaning elderly woman, played by Lisa Fishman, visits her friend, Mr. Blitz, who lies ailing in the hospital.  Clearly she is a bit more wrapped up in her own problems than that of poor Mr. Blitz, played by the great performer and renowned cantor, Bob Abelson.
